Information for Schools
At AK Teaching, safeguarding is at the forefront of everything we do. From the initial interview process to our staff working in school, we follow a stringent safeguarding process to ensure the safety of our candidates and the children in your school.
Our safeguarding processes are in line with both the DfE (Department for Education) and REC’s (Recruitment and Employment Confederation) guidelines. You can be wholly confident of your candidate’s background and suitability to work in your school.

The AK approach
At AK Teaching, we have built a team of consultants who believe and work to our standards and core values. We support the belief that every child in the North East has the right to an excellent education. We work in an ethical manner, ensuring our margins are not excessive and promote trust, clear communication, a high quality of service and are driven and passionate about everything we do.
Our regional approach to business and open-book policy ensures that our clients and candidates can put their complete faith in us to be an integral part of supporting a high-quality education for all children.
Alongside the commitment to recruiting the best possible staff for our schools, we also believe strongly in supporting schools in our local community even further, supporting the school and your pupils’ experiences beyond the norm.
With our partner schools, we aim to support in a wide variety of ways including strip sponsorship, assisting with sensory rooms, providing end of year rewards including DJ services, ice cream vans, etc., sponsoring school football leagues, partnerships with SAFC, volunteering in your school to develop a full understanding of the school’s needs, and many more!
We are determined to provide experiences and opportunities that children and young people may not otherwise have access to.
